Why I started Lingo Mama

Returning home after a language learning trip

Why I started Lingo Mama

Welcome!  I’m so happy you are here!

I have been dreaming and plotting about starting Lingo Mama for over 12 months now….and here we are!

My aspiration is to share my love of language learning with you and keep myself on track with my own study (I do love a bit of public accountability..!)

I have been studying languages on and off since I was five years old. My true love are Asian languages and Chinese (Mandarin) and Vietnamese are my two favourites. I LOVE combining travel and language learning – and this is what I will spend some time sharing with you – how to plan a holiday AND incorporate language study.

The many language learners I follow – totally inspire me – especially those that speak multiple languages. I hope to bring you their stories too. Maybe I’ll interview Mark Zuckerberg in Chinese one day?!

It is never too late to study a language and being a parent is definitely no barrier for starting a new language. In fact, I believe my motivation and drive has increased since having my daughter – this doesn’t always translate into action however but my intention is there!

I hope to overcome fears associated with speaking a new language and share my tips for keeping motivated on this long, arduous, challenging road to learning a language!

Share my love of language learning

Please join me on social Facebook and Instagram. Read more about me – Lingo Mama here.

Leave me a comment below and let me know if you share my love of language learning?

What language you are studying now or what you hope to study next?

I’d love to hear from you.

xx Lingo Mama
